Located on International Drive, the Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art facility that serves area residents. An avid swimmer, Harris Rosen had a long history with the aquatic center and its many members. Today the Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center is thriving, hosting large competitions, but in 1992, the center was in danger of closing for good. Rosen enlisted the help of celebrities, organizations, and Orange County to help save the aquatic center.
Rosen donated millions to the aquatic center over most of its history, much of which funded renovations. As a result of his support, the Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center has two Olympic-size swimming pools and new diving platforms. It is home for many competitive swimmers, divers, and water polo players as well as for hundreds of children from nearby communities who have learned drowning prevention and swimming skills.
